Now here was a car. It certainly had a chequered past but it was a full replica of a Series 1 RS Turbo in black! I suspect it was made up from other bits "liberated" from other cars but it looked the nuts.

The turbo had been max'd out but the 1.3L gearbox remained so the handling was "interesting".

In the first 3 gears it was utterly oncontrollable but it was fun for the 1000 revs in which it made any power.

I sold it because I'd got my first company car. It was a mate that bought it, he had it two weeks then polled up at my house in an "original" MkII Escort RS 2000. After 2 seconds of looking at it, it was obvious that it was a fake. Silly boy.
